Knowing the terrior from a particular vineyard influences you to buy certain wines.
For instance I love Rosenblum Zinfandel Suzanne's Vineyard. 100% of the grapes used in this wine are from that one vineyard.
Tasting different varietal wines from different vineyards really helps you hone your palate and know what you like. It's a fun way to learn!
