Okay,.. so get ready for theultimate in spoiling the kids!!! Now, I do confess I am as excited about cake and candy as any three-year-old Ive ever met (secretly, I do believe in a distant relation with Willy Wonka) so alas, I have to share.. my secret tips for an over-the-top birthday cake (you may call it an explosion I prefer to think of it as sweet creativity). You see, while I enjoy baking, Decorating is the most alluring piece to this beautiful creation. I simply buy a frosted cake from the grocery store assemble a bounty of sweet candy deliciousness and within minutes I have created a fantasy cake of my childrens dreams.

A wonderful surprise treat for a birthday (Gus recently turned three) as well as a marvelous project to do with your kids/grandchildren. Choose a theme if you care to. and let the cake take on a whimsical life of its own it is just sugar after all!!!
