Guinness. A staple at any Irish bar. Join me along with John Kelly, owner of The Parlour at 250 West 86th Street in Manhattan, as I learn...How to pour a Guinness. Having been to the plant in Ireland, I learned that outside of Ireland, bars are regulated to make sure the taps aren't too cold insuring that your Guinness is just right. It is a privilege in the U.S. for bars to offer Guinness on tap. If your bartender hands you a Guinness with more than an inch of head on it, he/she hasn't done it right. Too much foam ruins the experience. Patience is the key! The Parlour offers a full menu, including John's famous Irish stew, as well live music and private party rooms. www.theparlour.com
