i stay in mumbai and i know the reality of juhu beach....
this video is so real..its like the realism once potrayed by satyajit ray in his films.
another fact of life is..he potrayed poor people(the reality ) then on big screen ..n it made world take notice of india..n now the basic hangout place of middleclass people of mumbai is becoming a platform for indian food n people to be seen on ifood..3 cheers..vikas tum kranti laoge

God! You're embarassing me...Satyajit ray!! Well, all I do is try and write a decent script, take my camcorder and go and shoot. Fortunately, some people have been very helpful in lending their equipment and time...

Awesome video! - amazing edits!
I like the Juhu area.. its very elegantly described in the video.
My aunt lives on 11 Gulmohar st, its like couple of blocks from Bacchan house - I used to spend several of my vacations there. The best part was going on a walk.. and spotting all these filmstars around.. It used to be a lot cleaner then - I guess BMC must be having a hard time trying to keep it clean.

vikas kumar says :
The BMC HAS taken steps to keep the place clean...earlier, the food stalls were spread all over the beach...now they've been put together towards one corner, its more like a food court...this way one has a clear view of the sea from the road. besides, there're always a LOT of people visiting the beach...the govt. should get strict about littering.

chintan says :
Ya I saw - your video did show several people on the Beach. It's fascinating!
Good to hear about BMC efforts. Although, I do remember that in 2001/02 - people used to always complain about the dirtyness of beach and not really go there..
Jai Maharastra!

this is probably the best video on the site ! very well scripted, shot and edited - and i love the computer saying "you are 50 yrs old" - that was awesome
also the liz hurley act was too good !
you should name your videos under the series name "street food in bombay" or something like that - that way one can see all your videos using that series name
way to go man - can i invest money in your production company!
Bon Appetite!
Posted on: 28 July 2007 - 5:23am
vikas kumar says :
thanks khan! please invest in my company, i need your money!
by the way, its "50 kgs", not "50 yrs old"! raavi will faint, it was her on the weighing scale...
the machine is great fun...it tells your weight and the kind of person you are-all for just Rs. 3!
