gnocchi is my favourite if home made and soft. It is easy to make and so yummy! I love it with goganzola sauce and home made sweet Italian sausage and some chicken pieces. That combo will drive you crazy. Our favourite Chef Guisippe Ferrare used to make it for us every time we ate at his restaurant Amalfi Trattoria, but he left for the kitchen in the sky at age 42 after a heart attack. He was the best chef any where and wonderful guy. I really miss his cooking-his polenta was better than any I have ever eaten in his homeland of Italy and he served it with a wild mushroom ragu, and his lamb osso bocco was amazing on a cold winter night, or another of my favourites was rabit ragu parpadelle.
*sigh* a nice glass of Italian Barone and Guiseppe's cooking was as good as it gets. Sort of like sitting in a friend's warm kitchen cooking the best food always cooked with love...........................
And all you said was pasta!
