Great video Allison! I have never pickled cucumbers but I'm going to try it today following your video. I think I will love the cold pack method....it seems easier. I also loved your "how to can tomatoes" video as well! This site is def. on my favorites! Thanks again for the video!

I add a horseradish chunk for crispness and dried chiles for flavour. According to the Ball Blue Book of Canning (the canning Bible) BWB process time is 10 minutes. Boiling water must cover by 1" the jars. Also it is imperative to use a jar rack to prevent the jars from clunkinmg against each other. The sealed pickles should rest in a dark cabinet for 6 months or more to develope flavours.
Always use tempered canning jars do NOT reuse a mayo jar or such for canning.
