Burmese Special Sticky Rice video

Video Description

The full moon of Tabodwè in February celebrates a festival of a special kind of sticky rice called Htamanè in Myanmar. Daw Shi's htamanè has been around for decades in Mandalay. See how her family still makes this traditional dish all through the year. It's similar to the mochi-pounding ceremony that is performed in Japan - everyone takes a turn to stir!
