Its 12:35, saturday afternoon, Ive just woken up, and guess what I see - this video. So much great food. I will have to settle with "Canned chicken" this afternoon but the video has given me enough ideas about how I want to spend my evening tonight.
One of my house mates in grad school used to made these lovely burmese noodles but she would add a lot of tomatoes, mushrooms and coconut milk. The flavor would be very similar to Thai food but I guess it was the burmese curry paste that would make it slightly different.

Great Video of Burmese Noodles. Melodious music. What do the words Mogok Meeshay mean?
My maternal great grand father spent quite a bit of time in Burma. He recently passed away after living for over 100 years. He shared really vivid picture of Burmese life. In fact, I grew up listening to Burmese fables. The country gets so little international press nowadays, not sure how is it doing under military rule?
As per my knowledge Burmese Food is dominated by Rice and fish similar to Indian state of Bengal. How frequently your dad visits Burma? These are great videos. I would love to learn more about your and your dad’s love for Burmese food.
Thanks again for posting this nice Burmese Noodles video.
