How easy is it to enjoy shellfish? The answer is very! Around 80% of shellfish landed in the UK are exported; the bulk to France and Spain. It has been suggested that one of the reasons why our own shellfish are not as popular at home is the fear of what to do when purchased unprepared. This may explain why prawns are so popular - they are regularly sold ready to eat. The aim of each film is to demonstrate how shellfish can be prepared from scratch in a matter of minutes and to demystify and promote a much under valued food.
