My name is Richard Blaine and welcome to EZ Cooking here at ifood.tv! I have been cooking since I was thirteen years old and everything I have learned about cooking has come from self education and tried and true practice. I consider myself to be a gourmet home chef and I believe anyone can become a great chef/cook with just a little bit of practice and some basic knowledge and skills. I truly believe that cooking is a way to the inner realms of a persons creativity because there is so much creativity in food, so many ways to go with a recipe. I want to share with you what has been shared with me over the years so that we can all become better cooks together.

Favorite Cuisine:
I really love Asian cuisine above most everything else and lately I have been in a Southeast Asian mood. Now, as of late I have been getting a Jones to do Italian cooking and so the last two recipe vids on my blog have been Italian and Sicilian. I am a foodie and I just can't say that I have an absolute favorite food as I love all food! To me that is what being a foodie is all about!
Hobbies:
I have been a avid competition fencer of foil and saber since I was in junior college I have had the opportunity to train with some of the worlds best fencers. I also endeavor in the Filipino form of fencing called Kali escrima. The Filipino art gets it's roots from the Spanish rapier fencing. I love to read when I get the chance and I love my thriller novels by James Patterson, Jeffrey Deaver and Robert Ludlum. I also read the counter culture punk vampire stories of the Blue Lady, Sonja Blue by Nancy A. Collins.
