Zesty Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 pounds spareribs, cut in 2 inch riblets | ||
| Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1/4 cup chopped prunes | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light corn syrup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Catsup | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 teaspoon original Worcestershire sauce | ||
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Tabasco sauce | 2 Drop | |
Directions
Place ribs on rack in a shallow roasting pan; bake in preheated 400° F oven, turning once, 40 minutes, or until tender.
Melt margarine in a skillet over medium heat.
Add onion; saute 3 minutes.
Place onion, prunes, lemon juice, corn syrup, soy sauce, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, ginger and Tabasco sauce into a blender; cover and blend on high speed 30 seconds, or until smooth.
Brush ribs with sauce; bake 20 minutes longer, turning and basting once, or until sauce is heated.
