Rice 250gms
Cumin seed one table spoon
Freshly peeled pea 100gm pea
Green chili two (2)
Salt to taste

Step 1: Wash the rice in fresh water
Step 2: Heat the pot and add a teaspoon of pure deshi ghee (indian name of hydrogentated
oils) or vegetable oil
Step 3: In the heated deshi ghee add cumin seed to splinter
Step 4: Add pieces of green chilies into the pan
Step 5: Add the peas and the rice and fry for two minutes
Step 6: Add double the amount of water and salt to taste
Step 7: Close the lid and leave it for 10 minutes on medium flame/heat
Step 8: After 10 minutes open the lid
Step 9: your sumptuous Zira Pulao is ready
