Sweet Zarda Rice Recipe Video
Zarda rice or saffron rice is a dessert made with rice and saffron. Long grained rice and flavor of saffron is the main highlight of the recipe.
Ingredients
Handful of nuts
2 Cloves
Cardomom pods
1 cup basmati rice
1/2 glass of milk
Few threads of zafran/ saffron
Yellow food colouring
Coconut
Paneer/ Koya or Meethai
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp clarified butter/ ghee/ oil
Directions
Heat some water in a pan and bring it to boil. Add food color.
Now add rice to it. Bring it to boil and cook until half done.
Heat ghee add nuts, coconut and cardamom pods. Remove it.
In the same pan add sugar and milk. Cook until sugar melts.
Then add rice. Mix well and add nuts.
Cover and keep on a slow fire for 15 minutes.
Garnish it with paneer, khoya or meethai is ready.
