Yugoslav Pork with String Beans Recipe
Ingredients
| Oil | ||
| Onion | 1 Large, thinly sliced | |
| Green pepper | 1 Large, seeded, thinly sliced | |
| 1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into bite-size chunks | ||
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Green beans | 1/2 pound, trimmed | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablespoons flour Oil | ||
| Paprika | ||
| Sour cream (garnish) | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Heat small amount of oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add onion and green pepper and saute until browned.
Stir in pork, paprika, salt and pepper to taste and continue cooking until meat is browned.
Stir in beans and water, reduce heat, cover and simmer until pork is tender, about 45 minutes.
About 5 minutes before serving, brown flour in small amount of oil over low heat.
Add paprika for color and stir constantly for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add to meat and continue cooking until sauce thickens.
