Yorkshire Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sage | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 frying chicken, disjointed | ||
| Oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Melted butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 3 , Well beaten | |
| Parsley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Combine 1/3 cup flour, 2 teaspoons salt, sage and pepper in plastic bag.
Shake chicken in bag to coat with flour.
Brown chicken well in oil; transfer to baking dish.
Sift remaining flour, remaining salt and baking powder together.
Mix milk, butter and eggs; add to flour mixture.
Stir until smooth; add parsley.
Pour batter over chicken.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Shake chicken in bag to coat with flour.
