Yellow Rice Pilaf Recipe
In my opinion there's not another recipe better than this Yellow Rice Pilaf that is the reason I am so thrilled about introducing it to you. An assortment of fabulous flavors, the Yellow Rice Pilaf recipe is one of those Canadian dishes you simply shouldn't miss. There is not a single month when I don't serve this yummy Main Dish! In my estimation, if one is a chef, one needs to have a personal recipe of Yellow Rice Pilaf, just like I do.
Ingredients
5 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/4 cup butter
2 cups uncooked long grain rice
1 qt. chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Directions
Add onion to hot butter in a large heavy saucepan; cook until onion is soft.
Add rice gradually to onion in saucepan, stirring constantly.
Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
Mix in chicken broth, salt, and turmeric.
Bring to boiling.
Remove from heat and turn into a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish; cover.
Bake at 400°F 20 to 25 minutes, or until rice is tender.
