Yellow Squash with Cumin Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole Onion - 9 ounces OR Sliced Onions - 8 ounces , (ready-cut) (1 3/4 cups) | ||
| Ground cumin | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Whole OR Sliced (Ready- Cut) Yellow Summer Squash - 12 ounces (2 1/3 cups) | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a pan heat oil and cook the sliced onions with cumin over medium heat until soft.
2. Now add the sliced squash; add black pepper and continue to cook for about 10 minutes with the lid on.
3. Once the squash becomes tender add the lemon juice and mix well.
SERVING
4. Serve hot as an excellent side dish with meats or as a vegetable serving to kids.
