Yellow Split Pea N Ham Soup Recipe
|Yellow split peas||3 Ounce (Uncooked)|
|Chopped carrot||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped boiled ham||2 Ounce|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Instant chicken broth and seasoning mix||1 1⁄2 Ounce (1 1/2 Packets)|
|Bay leaf||1 Small, studded with 1 whole clove|
|Whole cloves||1 (Studded With Bay Leaf)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Dash|
|White pepper||1 Dash|

In 2-quart saucepan heat margarine until bubbly and hot; add carrot, onion, celery, and ham and cook, stirring constantly, until onion is translucent.
Stir in split peas and remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer until peas and vegetables are soft, about 45 minutes.
Let soup cool slightly; remove and discard bay leaf and clove.
Transfer soup to work bowl of food processor and process until pureed; return to saucepan and cook until heated.
