Yeast Scones Recipe
Ingredients
| Cake yeast | 1⁄2 | |
| Honey | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Lukewarm liquid | 1 1⁄8 Cup (18 tbs) (milk or milk water) | |
| Whole wheat flour/Boeremeal | 3 Cup (48 tbs) (2 tblspns. Brewer's Yeast may be added) |
Directions
Soften yeast in 1/8-cup of the lukewarm liquid with honey, oil and salt.
Let it froth up for 10 minutes.
Add the rest of the liquid and all the other ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Place in an oiled bowl and cover.
Let the mix- ture rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
Knead the dough on a floured board until spongy.
Cut into scones.
Arrange the scones on oiled baking sheets.
Let them rise for 10 minutes' more.
Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes.
Let it froth up for 10 minutes.
