Skewered Chicken Recipe Video
Yakitori means grilled bird and is traditionally served skewed on bamboo.
Ingredients
*1 Cup Mirin Rice Wine
*1/4 Cup Sake
*1 Cup Sake
*1 Tablespoon Sugar
* 1 cup soy sauce
* 2 Tablespoons cornstarch mixed
with 1/3 cup cold water
* Boneless, Skinless Chicken
Directions
Mix 1 cup rice wine and 1/4 cup sake in a medium size pan and bring it to boil.
Mix 1 tbsp sugar and 1 cup soy sauce in a bowl.
Add the mixture to the pan.
After 30 minutes, 1/3 cup cold water with 2 tbsp corn starch. Add it to the boiling mixture in the pan with constant stirring. Cook until its thick and keep it warm.
Cut boneless chicken breast into nice size chunks.
Skew it in bamboo sticks. Grill them.
Drizzle some sauce over the grilled chicken.
Serve with rice.
