Winter Salad Pickle Recipe
Ingredients
2 qts. of carrots (cut in slivers)
2 qts. yellow string beans (cut in 1 inch pieces)
12 medium onions (sliced)
3 hot red peppers (cut in small pieces)
3 green sweet peppers (cut in small pieces)
3 cups granulated sugar
2 tbs. salt
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. paprika
4 cups cider or malt vinegar
Directions
Cook carrots and beans in salted water until tender.
Drain.
Add all the vegetables, sugar, salt and spices to the vinegar.
Boil about 5 minutes.
Pack in hot jars and seal
