Wine-Sauced Steak Sandwiches Recipe
Wine-Sauced Steak Sandwiches is a sumptous main dish that is simply a joy to prepare and serve. My family loves this meat prepaeration and I make it for our weekend luncheons. They find it difficult to stop eating the Wine-Sauced Steak Sandwiches. Try it!
Ingredients
| French bread slice | 4 | |
| Butter | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Beef top loin steaks | 4 | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
| Port | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Whipping cream | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) |
Directions
Spread bread on both sides with the 1/4 cup butter.
In skillet toast bread till golden brown.
Transfer to serving plates.
Slash fat edge of steaks at 1-inch intervals.
In same skillet, cook steaks in 2 tablespoons butter to desired doneness, turning once.
Allow about 10 minutes total cooking time for medium-rare.
Season with salt and pepper.
Place steaks atop toasted bread slices; keep warm.
Add port to skillet; stir to blend with pan drippings.
Add cream; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Season with salt; pour sauce over steaks.
