Wine Mushroom Hamburgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Cream | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 cup beef bouillon | ||
| Dry red wine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz), sliced | |
| 3 or 4 slices toast | ||
Directions
1. Combine beef, cream, milk, onion, salt, and pepper. Toss lightly with a fork until blended. Shape into 3 or 4 thick patties.
2. Melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and brown well on both sides. Remove patties and keep warm.
3. Add flour to drippings in pan and stir to blend well. Add bouillon and wine. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and becomes thick. Add Worcestershire sauce, parsley, and mushrooms with liquid. Taste; add salt and pepper if needed.
4. Return patties to sauce. Simmer over low heat until meat is cooked to desired degree of doneness.
5. Place meat patties on toast slices and pour saace over the top.
