Wine Baked Plums Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 medium sweet red plums, cut into halves and pitted | ||
| Dry red wine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 cinnamon sticks, broken into halves | ||
| 1/4 cup thawed frozen dairy whipped topping | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In 1 1/2-quart casserole arrange plums in a single layer, cut-side down.
In 1-cup glass measure combine wine and sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved; pour over fruit and add cinnamon sticks to casserole.
Cover casserole and bake until plums are soft, about 30 minutes.
Remove and discard cinnamon sticks; peel plums and discard skin.
Into each of 4 dessert dishes place 4 plum halves; spoon 1/4 of the cooking liquid over each portion and top each with 1 tablespoon whipped topping.
