Wilted Lettuce Toss Recipe
This wilted lettuce toss is a mixed vegetable salad. Made with added bacon and herbed with oregano, the wilted lettuce toss is cooked-dressed with bacon dripping and seasoned to taste. charming and easy to prepare, this salad goes well with casseroles or rice preparations.
Ingredients

| Leaf lettuce | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomato | 1 Large, chopped | |
| 1/4 cup sliced green onion | ||
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Oregano leaves | 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
Directions
Fry bacon in large skillet till crisp; drain, reserving 1 tablespoon bacon drippings.
Crumble bacon and set aside.
Meanwhile, combine lettuce, tomato, and onion.
In skillet, heat reserved drippings, vinegar, oregano, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper to boiling.
Gradually add lettuce mixture, tossing just till leaves are coated and wilted slightly.
Turn into serving bowl.
Top with crumbled bacon.
