Wilted Lettuce Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 large bunch leaf lettuce, torn into medium-size pieces | ||
| 4 slices bacon, cut up | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Place lettuce in 3-quart bowl.
Fry bacon in 8-inch skillet over medium heat until crisp.
Remove bacon with slotted spoon; sprinkle over lettuce.
Cook and stir onion in bacon fat until tender; remove from heat.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling; immediately pour over lettuce.
Toss just until lettuce is wilted.
