Wilted Dandelion Greens Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 quart coarsely shredded dandelion greens
 
4 strips bacon, diced
 
2 teaspoons sugar
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
Dash of freshly ground black pepper
 
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
 
3 tablespoons mild vinegar

Directions

1. Tough roots or stems should be removed from the greens before shredding them. Place the greens in a large bowl.
2. Cook the bacon until crisp. Add the remaining ingredients to the bacon and fat and heat, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved.
3. Pour the mixture over the dandelion greens and toss well
