Wild Rice Supreme Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 , diced | |
| Butter | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Wild rice | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomatoes | 2 , diced | |
| Slivered almonds | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 c. diced cooked bacon | ||
| Chicken broth | 4 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Pinch of saffron | ||
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Saute onion in butter.
Add rice; toss to coat well.
Place rice mixture in large casserole.
Bring broth to a boil; pour over rice.
Add all remaining ingredients; mix well.
Cover.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes longer.
