Ingredients
2 1/2 cups wild rice
1/3 pound sausage meat
1/3 cup butter or margarine
3/4 pound mushrooms, coarsely chopped with the metal blade
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped with the metal blade
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Wash, then cook rice in 5 cups boiling water until tender, about 30 minutes.
Drain well.
Brown the sausage meat, add the margarine, mushrooms, and onions.
Cook over low heat 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir in rice and seasonings.
