1/2 cup wild rice
1/4 cup blanched, slivered almonds
1 tbsp. chopped green onion or chives
1 can (7 oz.) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Directions
Put all ingredients except broth in heavy frying pan; cook over medium high heat about 20 min., or until almonds are slightly brown.
Stir often.
Heat oven to 300° (slow).
When almonds are brown, add chicken broth to rest of ingredients; stir.
Pour mixture into 1-qt. baking dish.
Cover tightly and bake about 2 hr.
