Directions
Place rice in a fine wire strainer and rinse under running water.
In a 3-quart or larger electric slow cooker, combine rice, raisins, chopped onion, and thyme.
Pour in broth.
Cover and cook at low setting until broth has been absorbed and rice is tender to bite (5 1/2 to 6 hours).
Stir in sherry, if desired.
Sprinkle with green onions before serving.
