Wiener Schnitzel Recipe
Ingredients
| Veal chops or steaks- 6 | ||
| Eggs | 2 Small, slightly beaten | |
| Flour- as required | ||
| Bacon drippings- 3 tablespoons | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Thick sour cream- 1 cup | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1.Sprinkle veal with salt and pepper
2.Dip into eggs, then into flour
3.In a pan, brown veal on both sides in hot bacon drippings
4.Cover pan and cook slowly until chops are tender, for 1 hour
5.Sprinkle with lemon juice
6.On a hot platter, arrange the chops
7.Blend flour with fat in pan, add sour cream and cook 3 minutes, keep stirring constantly
8.Season with salt and pepper
9.Garnish with lemon slices
SERVING
10.Serve with potato wedges and salads
