Ingredients

 4 cups whole-wheat flour 1L
 All purpose flour4 Cup (16 tbs)
 11/2 cups non-fat dry milk 375 mL
 Granulated Sugar1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Wheat germ1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 4 tbsp double-acting baking powder 50 mL
 Salt1 Tablespoon
 11/2 cups solid vegetable shortening 375 mL

Directions

In a large bowl, combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, milk, sugar, wheat germ, baking powder and salt.
With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Store mix in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Makes about 14 cups (3.5 L).
