Ingredients

 
Flour- 1 1/2 cup
 
Whole Wheat Flour- 1/2 cup
 
Baking Powder- 3 teaspoon
 
Salt- 1 teaspoon
 
Vegetable Shortening- 1/3 cup
 
Milk- 2/3 cup

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 425° F.
2) Lightly grease a baking tray.

MAKING
3) In a bowl, sift together flours, baking powder and salt.
4) Using two knives cut in shortening until well blended.
5) Pour in the milk; stirring until just blended.
6) Lightly dust a working board with flour.
7) Place the dough on floured board and knead lightly for several minutes.
8) Roll the dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
9) Using a biscuit cutter cut the rolled dough.
10) Place on baking sheet.
11) Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

SERVING
12) Serve with tea or coffee, if desired.
