Whole Wheat Hardtack Recipe

| Soda | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Buttermilk | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Whole wheat flour | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Honey | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Coarse salt/Seasoned salt | To Taste (for light dusting) |

Directions
Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
Mix dry ingredients together, then cut in butter.
Add honey and buttermilk-soda mixture.
Form into ball.
Roll dough very thin (about 1/8 inch), cut into 2-inch squares, and sprinkle lightly with salt.
Press gently with your fingers to make salt adhere.
Place on cookie sheet, and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until crisp.
Store in airtight container.
