Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
MAKING
2. In a mixing bowl combine together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, butter sugar, baking powder, soda, salt, and cream of tartar; mix well till it resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Add buttermilk all at once and stir with a fork just till dough follows fork around the bowl.
4. Place the dough on a floured surface and roll out to 1/16-inch thickness.
5. Cut with a floured 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter; prick crackers with a fork.
6. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
7. Bake in a 350° F oven for about 15 minutes or till lightly browned.
8. Store in an airtight container.

9. Serve the cracker as a snack with a dipping sauce.
