Ingredients

 
Whole wheat roll dough
 
Melted butter
 
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
 
1 tablespoon cinnamon
 
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
 
2/3 cup raisins

Directions

1. Follow the directions for the roll dough through the first rising. Turn out the dough onto a floured board, divide in half and roll each half into a thin rectangle about one-quarter inch thick and ten inches long. Brush with butter.
2. Mix the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle half the mixture and half the raisins on each sheet of dough. Roll tightly as for a jelly roll and cut each roll into nine equal portions. Place the buns, cut sides up, in two eight- or nine-inch greased round or square pans and brush with melted butter. Cover with waxed paper and let rise until doubled in bulk, about one hour,
3. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (350° F.) about thirty minutes.
