Ingredients
| Whole wheat flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 3 tablespoons corn oil margarine, softened | ||
| 7 tablespoons low-fat buttermilk | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a medium bowl combine flours, baking powder, sugar, baking soda and salt.
Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until crumbly.
Add buttermilk; mix just until moistened.
Dust a board lightly with flour.
Onto the floured board turn dough.
Knead lightly 4 or 5 times.
Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
Dust a 2-inch biscuit cutter with flour; cut biscuits.
Spray a baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray.
On the prepared baking sheet arrange biscuits.
Bake for 10 minutes or until light brown.
