Ingredients

 Cake yeast1/2
 Warm water2 Tablespoon
 Scant teaspoon sugar
 Whole wheat flour1 1/8 Cup (16 tbs)
 White flour2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt11/2 Teaspoon
 Lard1 Tablespoon, melted
 Water1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Molasses1 Tablespoon

Directions

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add sugar.
Mix whole wheat and white flour, salt and lard.
Stir in water, yeast and molasses.
Let rise 1 1/2 hours to double.
Put in greased and floured pan about 1 hour to rise again.
Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
