Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 c. warm water (105° to 110s)
2 pkg. active dry yeast 1 tap. sugar
3 c. warm water (105 to 110) 1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 Tbsp. salt
6 c. whole wheat flour
2/3 c. Miller's bran
1/3 c. wheat germ
2 to 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
Margarine or butter
Directions
Combine 1/4 cup warm water, yeast and sugar; let stand until bubbly.
Stir together 3 cups water, honey, oil and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Add yeast mixture, whole wheat flour, bran and wheat germ.
Stir in as much all purpose flour as you can.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
Knead in enough remaining all purpose flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic, 6 to 8 minutes total.
Shape into a ball in a greased bowl, turning once to cover.
Let rise in a warm place until double, about 1 hour.
Punch down and let rest for 10 minutes.
Divide dough in half.
Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes.
Bake in 375° oven for 45 minutes.
You can double recipe for 4 loaves or triple for 6 loaves.
