Directions

Heat oven to 400°F.
Combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder and salt (if used) in medium bowl.
Mix well.
Cut in with pastry blender (or 2 knives) to form coarse crumbs.
Add milk.
Stir until dry ingredients are just moistened.
Place on floured surface.
Knead gently with fingertips 8 to 10 times.
Pat or roll into 8 1/nch circle about 1/2ch thick".
With 2 1/2-inch round biscuit cutter, cut 6 biscuits.
Press dough scraps into ball and flatten again.
Cut 2 biscuits.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
