Whole Glazed Squash Recipe
Ingredients
| Butternut squash | 1 Pound, pounded | |
| 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Bake squash in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for 1 hour, or until squash is tender.
Peel rind and leave squash whole.
Mix brown sugar, butter, and water.
Cook slowly for 3 to 4 minutes.
Spoon thick syrup over all surfaces of the squash.
Bake for 15 minutes longer, or until squash is glazed.
Cut into serving pieces and serve with Canadian bacon or ham.
