White Sour Milk Cake Recipe
This white sour milk cake is a vanilla and sour milk flavored cake that I bake quite often. Prepared with a batter of flour, sugar, sour milk, eggs, shortening and vanilla, the white sour milk cake is baked and can be served as dessert with sugar dusting.
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Shortening | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| White sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , Well beaten | |
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sour milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cream shortening and sugar, add well beaten eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
Dissolve baking soda in mixture alternately with sifted dry ingredients.
Bake in greased 8 inch layer cake pans 20 to 25 minutes at 350F.
