2 cups skim milk
 
2 tablespoons nonfat chicken broth
 
1 tablespoon arrowroot
 
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

1. Place skim milk, arrowroot, chicken broth, and black pepper in a saucepan over low heat.
2. Stir sauce for 15 minutes or until thickened.
Variation : Substitute 2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in a small amount of cold liquid for the arrowroot.
Delete the chicken broth.
