White Wine Sauce With Sweet Pickle Relish Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 minced scallion or green onion | ||
| 3 tablesp. butter, margarine, fat or salad oil | ||
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Canned tomatoes | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 c. Sauterne, Chablis, or Rhine Wine | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| 1 tablesp. sweet pickle relish | ||
Directions
Saute the minced scallion in the butter until tender.
Add mustard, sugar, tomatoes, wine, salt and pepper.
Let simmer, uncovered, 20 min., then add relish.
Heat, then serve with broiled or sauteed fish.
