White Sauce Recipe

White Sauce is added to pasta or even boiled vegetables to make for a quick and tasty meal. Here is a brilliant White Sauce recipe that I have used for ages and has never failed me. Try it.

Ingredients

 
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
Dash paprika
 
1 cup milk or half-and-half

Directions

1. In 1-quart saucepan over low heat, melt butter or margarine; stir in flour, salt, and paprika until blended; cook 1 minute.
2. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and is smooth.
