Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
2. Grease a baking sheet ( you can also place a parchment paper for cookies to come off easily).
MAKING
3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars.
4. Add egg and almond extract; mix well.
5. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
6. Stir in white chocolate and pecans.
7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. (I used a tablespoon scoop and then formed them into a ball and flattened them a bit.)

9. Remove to wire racks to cool.
SERVING
10. Serve as and when needed or store in cookie jars.
TIPS
This is a wonderful cookie recipe, and this is a great time of the year to make it! You may substitute macadamia nuts for the pecans, if you prefer them. Thank you, Dr Johnny, and Merry Christmas! --Betty J
