Wheat Germ Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 cup all-purpose flour
 
1/2 cup sweetened wheat germ
 
1 tablespoon sugar
 
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
1 1/4 cups skim milk
 
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
 
1/2 cup small-curd cottage cheese

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients.
Combine milk and oil, add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Stir in cottage cheese.
For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup batter onto a preheated, lightly oiled griddle or skillet.
Turn pancakes over when tops are covered with bubbles and edges appear slightly dry.
