Spiced Wheat Germ Muffins Recipe
Wheat Germ Muffins is simply a delicious dessert recipe. A deadly combination of wheat germ and spices will surely tempt you to prepare this Wheat Germ Muffins on every party!
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour 500 mL
1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour 375 mL
1-1/2 cups wheat germ 375 mL
4 tsp baking powder 20 mL
1 tsp baking soda 5 mL
1 tsp salt 5 mL
2 tsp cinnamon 10 mL
1 tsp nutmeg 5 mL
1 cup butter 250 mL
1 cup granulated sugar 250 mL
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses 125 mL
2 cups milk 500 mL
2 cups raisins 500 mL
Directions
In large bowl, combine flours, wheat germ, baking powder, soda, salt and spices.
In large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs and molasses; blend until smooth.
To creamed mixture, add dry ingredients alternately with milk, making 3 dry and 2 liquid additions, stirring just until moistened.
Stir in raisins.
Spoon batter into paper lined muffin cups, filling each to top of liner.
Bake in 400°F (200°C) oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until firm to the touch.
