Ingredients

 Wheat2 Tablespoon, broken
 3 pepper corns
 Ghee3 Tablespoon
 Water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar5 1/2 Teaspoon
 Cardamoms2

Directions

Broken wheat is available in provision stores.
To make it at home heat a griddle and toast wheat on it for five or six minutes, stirring all the time.
Remove from the fire and cool it.
Then pound into small bits.
Store in an airtight tin or jar and use when required.
Heat the ghee in a pan on a moderate fire, put in the broken wheat and stir it briskly.
After a while the wheat will emit a fragrance.
When it turns red, put in the water and pepper corns.
Cover the pan partially and simmer on a low fire.
After about twenty minutes put in four teaspoons of sugar.
In the meantime heat one and a half teaspoons of sugar in a pan till it melts and gets brown.
Then pour it into the wheat.
Add split cardamom pods.
Remove the pan from the fire.
This quantity is sufficient for only one person.
It should be increased proportionately for more persons.
